Children's Drawstring Clothing - Product Recall by Sandy Maple Aug 10th 2008 6:02PMThe U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of three different brands of children's hooded sweatshirts and jackets with drawstrings due to the fact that they fail to meet CPSC guidelines. Prop 11 on November's ballot will allow the redrawing of state district boundaries overseen by an independent commission after the 2010 census. Singer Issac Hayes Dies at 65

Singer and legend Issac Hayes was found by relatives unconscious next to a still-running treadmill this afternoon at his home in Tennessee today. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital in Memphis around 11 a.m. PST. Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar for his theme song from "Shaft," was scheduled to headline at the Sunset Junction Music Festival in Silver Lake later this month.
